Crash Landing at Cambria County Airport

Today the daylight crews were dispatched to Wal-Mart in the first due for a vehicle fire. Engine 3-1 was first arriving and reported a working vehicle fire. Crews quickly knocked down the engine compartment fire and started clearing the scene. Moments after returning back to the station crews were again alerted, this time for an aircraft in distress at the Cambria County Airport. 3 Battalion, 3 deputy, engines 3-1, 3-2, and 3-3, truck 3, rescue 3, as well as tanker 3 all checked up for the assignment. The aircraft made a crash landing due to a front landing gear being stuck in. The plane was able to make a successful crash landing with no injuries being reported. Also, thanks to crews from Windber Fire Department for responding their tanker on the assignment.
